Immersive artist working in AR, illustration and plant biosensors
Heather Dunaway Smith is an interdisciplinary immersive artist and storyteller. Using augmented reality, illustration, interactive installation, and plant biosensors, she creates immersive experiences that connect people with technology and the natural world. She began as a playwright in New York, and that sense of spatial story still shapes her work: audiences step inside and become part of it. An Adobe AR Artist in Residence and Snap Spectacles Creator Partner, she has shown work at Art Basel/Miami Art Week and Adobe MAX, and was selected for AWE USA 2026 and MMoCA’s MadMat 2026. Across every medium, she designs for connection: between people, and between people and the living world around them.
