Reese Bowes is a designer, technologist, and sound artist with 17+ years working where design meets engineering. He began at Intel, moving from systems validation into Intel Labs R&D on adaptive interfaces, robotics, and VR, and earned 11 US patents. He later led UX for Intel’s Edge AI DevCloud and shaped products for YouTube, Samsung, and Salesforce at Instrument. Today, he is Technical and Product Lead at the AI Institute for Human Migration + Arrival (AIHMA), building responsible AI infrastructure for people on the move. Alongside this, Reese creates electronic music, interactive installations, and sound sculpture that ask how designed interfaces reshape human connection. His work has been performed and exhibited at PICA, the Portland Art Museum, Oregon Contemporary, and Bumbershoot. He holds an MFA in Applied Craft & Design from PNCA/OCAC and has taught at PNCA and Portland State University. Across every medium, he designs for human connection.
